I am thrilled to share that my 8-week summer internship at PJM Interconnection has come to a close, and I could not be more thankful for the incredible opportunity I had to work with the System Planning Modeling and Support Department. During my time here, I dove into data analysis and honed my skills using excel to manipulate data. The experience has been incredibly enlightening, learning how to transform raw data into usable information. A huge thank you to David Egan, team manager, for his guidance and support throughout these past 8 weeks. His mentorship has been invaluable. I am excited to carry the skills and knowledge I’ve gained into future career and academic endeavors!

In the summer of 2023 I had the opportunity to intern at the Institute of Affordable Transportation. During my time with the team, I gained valuable shop skills, including welding and operating various machining tools. An incredibly rewarding portion of the internship was participating in the testing of the vehicles I was helping build. Seeing the vehicles come to life and witnessing the potential impact they have on the communities they will serve in Africa was truly inspiring. Additionally, I had the opportunity to act as a leader of the volunteers, coordinating their efforts toward our collective mission was an enriching experience that honed my leadership skills. This internship was more than just a learning opportunity, it was a chance to contribute to a great cause and make a difference in the lives of others.
