Principle responsible for multiple datacenters as well as monitoring and core infrastructure lifecycle management including UPS power and overseeing environmental monitoring of the multiple locations. Network & Systems Administrator Of Enterprise Storage
Develop technical solutions that target to solve complex enhancement issues for the proprietary multi-tier enterprise SAN storage system and its related computer subsystems/products with focus on delivering a world class distributed storage solution to internal clients. I provided support to 20,000+ commercial customers by receiving incoming calls and creating ticket via automated tracking tool. I performed problem determination/resolution. Hazrdous Materials Specialist / Customs Coordinator
Responsible for any an all hazardous materials on site. This included the freight being shipped through the location. I was responsible for maintaining records and ensuring couriers were safe and legal when transporting the materials. I was a focal point for any and all questions about any hazardous material that was transported (including radioactive material). I was IATA certified and also Dangerous Goods certified by Fed Ex Express. Worked with DOT if needed regarding off site spills. When needed I was also responsible for the safe transport of Hazardous loads aboard the FedEx aircraft. This included but was not limited to securing and seperating incompatible hazmat loads throughout the aircraft. Once the loads were secured I worked with the pilots to ensure they were aware of the location of the goods. In conjunction with this position I was also the International Shipment Coordinator. I was responsible for ensuring all international packages had the proper paperwork neccessary to make it through customs into the country to which they were shipped. This required the knowledge of what materials could be shipped along with the limits that were placed on them. When needed I worked directly with customs in identifying illegal shipments to and from the United States.
Desktop Support / Network Admin
I started as an intern for one of Cornell's extensions. After putting the skills I was learning to use, the director of the center brought me on board full time. I was brought in to manage and support the hardware and software used at the facility. Shortly thereafter I was advised that the center had lost the grant for an on-site support rep and therefore they could no longer afford to pay me for my services.
