Alliander has a program to become Data-driven DSO. This SAFe program consists of three parts, of which one of them is the enabling stream. The objective of this is to identify large enablers, and to improve the quality of products within the entire program. Of this enabling steam, I was the Program Manager (or in SAFe called "Product Manager") and leaded a team of Product Owners.

I was responsible for the vision, architecture and portfolio management of the IT/OT landscape. In this role, I managed a team of 15 Information Managers & Architects who all work on realizing the vision throughout Alliander. I also helped to design and apply the Agile way of working from an architecture perspective.

LiveLab is a platform with the aim to investigate how IT, OT and IoT can be applied, as well as further developed within Alliander. Two projects worth mentioning are:1. Storage of energy in residential areas2. New concept to enable more applications within substation automation

In the role of Information Manager Analytics I was part of the team that fully initiated the analytics capability within Alliander. This initiative aimed to create algorythms as a solid base for condition-based maintenance, autonomous control room management and investment planning automation.My role in this initiative was portfolio management and architectural development. I managed to create structure in the entire portfolio, resulting in more control and overview for all stakeholders, and working towards one vision.

I started my career as an IT trainee at Alliander. In this role I did 2 assignments during my traineeship:1. Investigation into how linked data can be applied within Alliander. I showed how to find opportunities on the edge of technology and business. Meanwhile, I also worked on the Cerise-SG project (see link).2. Investigation into the entire application landscape for the operations line within Alliander.

My function consists of coordinating a board of six people to ensure the successful continuation of the study association. We try to be the link between companies, students and the marketing department of the Erasmus School of Economics as well as the marketing department of the Rotterdam School of Management.
