He develops the legislative focus for the association and serves as a registered lobbyist. Prior to assuming this position, Mr. Nixon completed a successful career with the federal government rising through the ranks of civil service to the Senior Executive Service. Mr. Nixon served as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Defense Commissary Agency from 2001 until his retirement in 2007 and served in the joint role as the Director and CEO from August 2004 until he departed in November 2007.
