-Organizational and Team Leadership within the Guest Services Department including interviewing and hiring; training and motivating; counseling/reinforcing policy and disciplining-Oversee rate and yield pricing strategies through the use of forecasting, supply and historical data, using automated software and price comparison of the local market-Goal setting and tracking of group and OTA revenue and room nights; generating reports using guest history for use in meetings and forecasting future business levels-Attend Trade Shows and network events (SkiTops, Mountain Travel Symposium, Ski Utah, etc), with follow up throughout the spring and summer months; Recruit groups and FIT business through established networks and contacts- Recruit groups and FIT business through established networks and contacts- Host "FAM" tours of the lodge and on the mountain at the Alta Ski Area-Train Guest Service employees in the process of making reservations, check ins/check outs and guest billing; dinner reservation as needed; ground transfer scheduling to and from the airport; ski shuttle to and from Alta/Snowbird-Supervisions of the lodge when assigned as Manager-On-Duty, focusing on public areas for guest interaction- Strategize and evaluate periods of low demand using promotions to bring in revenue- Listening and communicating with guests, taking surveys and responding proactively to theirneeds-Assist housekeeping in prepping for group arrivals, arranging baggage storage and movement to rooms-Schedule and coordinate group functions with the Food and Beverage Department-Daily auditing of rates and/or packages, front office accounts, including credit cards, rooms charges and cash-Oversee the properties accounts payable during the off season
