About Patrick Sharp

After 15 years in IT, I came upon Information Security and quickly grew to love its mission and community, structure and curiosity, and its positive impact on the wellbeing of businesses and people. The security landscape is complex and rapidly changing, and there is a real and urgent need for people who can give expert, pragmatic, and business-focused advice to businesses to empower good decision making.In my current role as General Manager Advisory at Aura Information Security (Kordia), my role is to do just that. I enable our team to work with businesses to assess their security systems and posture, to develop and implement security strategy, and to help their business to thrive while protecting their people.I have experience in information technology and security; consulting, sales, marketing, support and technology management. I hold an MBA, CISM, CISSP, and I'm a Toastmaster and a Kendo 5th Dan. I have two cats, who have nothing but disdain for me.I enjoy making new business contacts and I’ll have coffee with anyone once; drop me a line.
