In this role, I led a social team of six producers and editors, developed and executed our off-platform strategy and oversaw our news coverage on social media, including breaking news. My daily responsibilities included the creation and curation of news content for our social platforms. I planned our coverage, assigned editors and producers to stories, gave feedback, and also regularly produced text, video and visual content myself. In my time at ORF, I produced hundreds of social videos, many of them in vertical video format.My projects included:TikTok (@zeitimbild)- Launched the account in October 2021, grew it to 360,000 followers in 12 months- Majority of our audience is younger than 20, huge popularity with teenagers- Coverage of a wide range of issues, from politics and current events to finance, entertainment and online culture- Creative short-form videos that are native to TikTok and use the platform's visual languageInstagram (@zeitimbild)- Launched in 2019, this is now the largest news account on Instagram in Austria (1 million followers)- More than 30 million video views and 8 million interactions per month (on average)- Strategic use of video, text, photos, graphics, data journalism and interactive storytelling
