About Patrick Tuck
I am working as a Deputy Attorney General in the Land Use and Conservation Section for the California Attorney General’s Office. I am admitted to the Ninth Circuit, the Northern and Eastern Districts, and the California Courts of Appeal. I graduated magna cum laude from the University of San Francisco (USF) School of Law in 2015, attaining the highest grade in five of my courses and I was admitted to the California Bar in December 2015. Being awarded the Daniel J. Curtin Memorial Scholarship allowed me to intern during my second summer with the S.F. City Attorney’s Land Use & Environment Team, where I conducted research and drafted memoranda pertaining to a variety of local government topics, including CEQA litigation. In fall 2014, I interned full-time in Washington, D.C. with the Environment & Natural Resources Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, where I worked with a team prosecuting Clean Water Act and CERCLA violations, and the Deepwater Horizon disaster. Upon returning to USF for my final semester, I proudly clerked for Justice James Richman in the California Court of Appeal, and served as a Comments Editor on the USF Law Review.Prior to law school, I graduated from Tufts University with a degree in International Relations and worked for seven years in the study abroad offices of Boston University and U.C. Davis, managing multiple international programs, reviewing thousands of applications, and preparing students to study around the world. When not at work, I like to travel, explore the Bay area, play tennis, sample unique cuisines, and do CrossFit. I am originally from Saratoga Springs, in upstate New York, but am proud to call California my home.
