Supporting with the recruitment and placement of volunteers across Wales, Western England and Thames Valley. The region currently has 18 prisons, 1 court and 2 community services.As a volunteer manager, I am usually the first point of contact for volunteers when they apply for a role with Pact in this region.I am responsible for conducting mandatory security checks, requesting references and setting up volunteers on our online training platform.Working closely with the Family Engagement Managers, I assist them with interviews, update them on the progress of volunteers' applications, and discuss and explore different avenues of recruiting new volunteers.

Supporting prisoners, people with convictions, and their children and families in prison by providing care and services.

Unannounced visits to police custody to check the treatment and well being of detainees to ensure that custody is safe and compliant with human rights obligations.
