As a member of Access Services department, I was the weekday evening circulation desk clerk who assisted patrons with locating items, placed orders through the Inter-Library Loan and OhioLINK systems, and checked in and out materials, including books, DVDs and key access to secured areas of the law library and law school. I was solely responsible for pulling and processing outgoing OhioLINK requests and prepping the incoming requests for CWRU law library patrons. I was responsible for closing the library weekday evenings, which includes general cleaning, straightening, and security procedures. I kept the popular reading materials section updated and shelved, as well as actively enforced loss prevention for this area. I trained and supervised temporary student help. I cleaned, filled and maintained various library equipment including the Xerox machines, computers, microfilm readers and printers. I used Microsoft Office software such as Word and Excel. I updated the contents of faculty loose-leaf selections, maintained the OhioLINK resources, and inventoried and shelved books used throughout the course of the day. I also copied and retrieved items from other CWRU libraries for the law faculty and librarians via FReDD requests.
