Human Resources Specialist
Current• Utilize a wide range of HR practices, laws, regulations, and policies to provide federal civilian HR management advisory and technical services on complex and wide-impacting customer functions and work practices.• Create federal job announcements in USA staffing ensuring job postings have required criteria based on National Guard bureau standards for assignments involving clerical and assistant, technical, and trade worker occupations.• Screen and determine applicant eligibility and qualifications to issue applicant referral lists.• Process selected applicants to included review of hiring manager selection packets, process background checks, manage selection letters/offers, and manage onboard process of selectees.• Enter requests for Personnel Actions (RPAs) such as new hires, promotions, transfers into government personnel database.• Mentor and conduct informal on-the-job training for lower graded human resource personnel.• Maintain professional communication with office personnel to included military personnel at all rankings and civilian staff providing recruitment advice on most productive recruitment strategies for filling excepted service positions.
