Covid 19 Vaccination Metro Denver Patient Contact Care Specialist

Patient Care Representative - Covid Check Colorado remote drive-through sites, Spring/Summer 2021*Site set up/take down: Prior to each shift beginning and ending, all sites have tables, chairs, supplies, signage, cones, etc. set up (and replenished during the shifts) then taken down promptly after last patients have exited the site.* Greeter: All cars approaching remote drive-through sites were individually greeted to make sure they had the right appointment time, date and location. Drivers were then directed to proceed to the vaccination lane assigned for check-in then check-out lane for vaccination.* Check-in/Check-out administrator: Electronically confirm patients to receive 1st or 2nd dose of CV19 Moderna or Pfizer vaccine. An IPad tablet was used to scan patient's barcode to retrieve records, verify birthdate, vaccine type and making sure each health question in the patient record was accurately answered. If any question triggered a possible allergic reaction, a medical vaccinator was requested to patient's car to inquire about any health concerns based on the answers. Provided official and medically signed CV19 vaccination card to patient either completed with 2nd dose or with 1st dose and 2nd dose appointment confirmed prior to patient driving to observation area. This position was also a situational/general medical triage and social environment "triage" if a patient is possibly under the influence of something and experiences a reaction (medically or anxiety), acting erratic or belligerent where an onsite supervisor/manager or EMT was immediately contacted prior to the vaccine being administered or right after the dose. * Observation parking lot coordinator: Once patients were vaccinated, cars were directed to certain parking areas for their 15-minute observation. Should the patient need the 30 minutes observation time frame, they were directed to a specific part of the parking lot where EMTs on site approached and spoke with the patient.
