Responsible for; supervision and completion of on-site projects; supervision, training and mentoring of on-site K2 personnel; conducting training for rig crews in several disciplines; tests and thorough examinations on lifting equipment and accessories to LOLER SI 2307 and in accordance with approved codes of practice such as LEEA's CoPSULE and current international standards such as BS, EN, ISO, ASME, FEM and API; inspection and testing of newly welded joints and structures; reviewing WPQR and WPS; DROPS dropped object prevention surveys on cranes, derricks and other structures; supervising and carrying out non-destructive testing methods including PT, MT, ET & UT; performing rope-access in accordance with IRATA guidelines; derrick inspection in accordance with API RP 4G requirements, conducting offshore pedestal crane inspection in accordance with API 2C & RP 2D, conducting crawler crane inspections; performing hull and structural surveys in accordance with Lloyd's, ABS and DNV requirements; carrying out high-pressure piping surveys, pressure vessel inspection and tank inspection; compiling and producing detailed reports to client's requirements; liaising with client and management;

Working offshore on tender barges, jack-ups, drill-ships and semi-subs as project supervisor for lifting equipment and accessories surveys to LOLER SI 2307 1998 and in accordance with current standards such as BS EN 13414 and BS EN 13157. Supervising and performing additional NDT as required and as per client requirements including; eddy current inspection, magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic testing and dye penetrant testing. Performing rope-access in accordance with IRATA guidelines. Competent person responsible for thorough examinations and testing of lifting equipment including; proof load testing and visual examinations. Responsible for offshore pedestal crane inspection in accordance with API Spec 2C and RP 2D. Responsible for report writing and compilation including; digital photography, drawings utilising Viseo and AutoCAD. Trusted on site to liase with client to best meet their requirements.

Working on a 457 visa full-time as an inspector and NDT technician at onshore and offshore facilities throughout the Northern Territory including; FPSO's, jack-up rigs, wellhead platforms, LNG plants, power stations, naval facilities, airports, fabrication yards, workshops, quays, docks and other installations.My job scope comprised of inspection and NDT including; radiography, ultrasonic testing, eddy current testing, magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant testing, also rope access work in accordance with IRATA guidelines, crane inspection including offshore pedestal cranes to API 2C & RP 2D, competent person supervising thorough examination and testing of lifting equipment and accessories, classification surveys of several vessels in accordance with ABS, Lloyd's and DNV requirements, tailored machinery inspection, visual inspection of welds, post weld heat treatment, proof load testing, hardness testing including the Brinell method, hydro testing, pipe inspection, tank inspection, preparing work scopes for clients and report writing for all of the jobs listed above using AutoCAD, Viseo and digital photography. I also gained valuable experience and insight into coating inspection, radiographic interpretation of welds, macro etch testing of welds, welder procedure specifications (WPS) and of NDT in the aerospace industry and on aircraft.I worked with clients such as Monadelphous, ConocoPhillips, Bluewater, Ensco, Steelcon, A & B Welding, EC & E Engineering, the Royal Australian Navy, the Royal Australian Air Force and Air North among others.
