A courageous, compassionate and above all strategic leader, I draw on my 25 years’ experience as a school leader to ensure that all pupils are nurtured, challenged and supported to become the very best they can be. As Head of School at King Edward VI High School for Girls in Birmingham my primary focus is of course ensuring that all pupils experience highest quality teaching and learning in a rich and challenging curriculum, sector-leading pastoral care and an enriching range of co-curricular opportunities recognised by ISI as a significant strength of the school. I also have broad experience of leading and developing staff, marketing and admissions, school finance and whole-school strategic development. I am also proud to have served for 8 years as a community governor at Northwood School, an Ofsted-outstanding fully comprehensive school which serves the local community.
