CurrentResumed asset leadership position under new management. Provide ongoing detailed operational and financial knowledge ensuring a smooth transition with un-interrupted production and efficient cash-flow management. Advise, transfer, and share all relevant production operation and geologic knowledge to management. Continued supervision of field staff in all ongoing operations without incident. Quickly facilitated transition to new workplace culture, HR and reporting policies. Responsible for continuous review of all OPEX activities and expenditures to streamline costs and maximize profitability. Instituted weekly OPEX cost tracking system for all foreman and supervisors teaching ownership of expenditure decisions and implications to budgeting and cashflow management. Lead and manage ~ 28-person field staff in all aspects of ongoing CO2 and water flooding and oil production. Oversee all plant operations, compression, turnarounds, and processing systems maintenance. Responsible for all monitoring, measurement, well testing, and communications systems, production battery operations including separation equipment operation and capture of fugitive emissions. Continued field training for supervisors and rig operators in all aspects of the various workovers that arise from operating CO2 and water floods. Extremely focused on safe and effective well control for CO2 injection and production wells. Championed the implementation of sucker rod lift vs. ESP in high GLR CO2 producing wells thus lowering lifting costs substantially. Personally supervised workover rigs performing capillary tubing fishing jobs under balanced kill conditions, artificial lift conversions from ESP to rod lift, rod pump and ESP changeouts, rod and tubing failures and the installation of a trial jet pump application. Currently commissioning a new secondary waterflood by converting producing wells to injectors, rebuilding facilities to supply flood water, and processing oil production on lease.
