● Advisor to the Dean of the College of Allied Health and Nursing and the CIO of ITS on technology investments and initiatives for the College of Allied Health and Nursing;● Participating with the Dean, CIO and other senior leaders including department chairs in planning the short and long-range technology strategies in conjunction with the college’s academic vision;● Developing IT technology standards and protocols in line with the university and MnSCU’s requirements along with the college accreditation guidelines;● Assesses new and emerging technologies to determine application to academic programs and services and ensures that accreditation is met;● Works closely with the Dean of the College of Allied Health and Nursing regarding the technology budge;● Identify and oversee business process driven technology improvements;● Identifies and evaluates new technology developments and gauges applicability to faculty, student and staff that satisfies business goals and objectives;● Maintains a current working knowledge of IT best practices and innovative solutions within both education and industry;● Oversees and coordinates with all IT Initiatives/Projects;● Recommends, develops, integrates, administers, and evaluates policies, procedures, and standards needed to provide flexible and cost-effective IT services (Software and Hardware Life Cycles, Technology Refreshment and Technology Research and Collaboration) in conjunction with business strategies set forth by departments and the college;● Provides Subject Matter Expertise to the Dean and Chief Information Officer;● Directs the analysis of departmental technical problems and is the catalyst in development of interdepartmental systems;● Trains and supervises departmental managers on the use of current and evolving technologies;● Solves IT business issues while managing IT costs and risks;
