Capability Development Manager
CurrentIn my current role I am responsible for the introduction into service of new capabilities across RAAF Air Mobility Group (AMG) Platforms. I work closely with all stakeholders in the defence capability lifecycle, including equipment manufacturers, aerospace engineering organisations and frontline defence units to ensure the capability is introduced on time and meets stakeholder requirements and expectations. As a Test & Evaluation Practitioner, I am also responsible for T& E coordination of new and emerging capabilities on all AMG platforms.Key Achievements:- Development of a streamlined process to facilitate the Air Worthiness Clearance (AWC) for Aeromedical Evacuation Equipment (AMEE) is effective and efficient. This resulted in a significant backlog of AMEE being introduced into service across 4 AMG platforms, leading to a significant improvement to Aeromedical Capability for the ADF.- Successfully introduced into RAAF service an urgently required Highly Infectious Disease patient transportation capsule to meet an emerging requirement for carriage of patients on AMG aircraft, resulting in a capability to evacuate highly infectious patients from remote locations during the current COVID-19 pandemic.- Coordinated a ground and flight trial of refrigeration devices and freezers for the carriage of COVID-19 vaccines on AMG aircraft. This resulted in vital information being presented to the CoA government to inform options for carriage of vaccines in Australia and the South West Pacific Region.
