27-hole public course designed by Bill Robinson with Poa/Bentgrass/Rye mix on greens, tees, and fairways; ~55,000+ rounds played annually and a crew of 25 during peak season.Oversee operations across The Bay Course and The Ridge Course in collaboration with superintendent, as well as the Mattick’s Farm Shopping Center grounds and mini-golf course. Schedule and delegate daily tasks to ensure efficiency. Develop and maintain sound training and orientation programs to assure safe operations and decrease workers compensation claims. Fulfill superintendent role in his absence. Conduct spray applications, drainage management, and course enhancement projects such as building new bunkers and tees.- Maintain constant communication with superintendent and utilize a team effort to carry out operational and personnel procedures, including hiring and firing- Employ strong mechanic skills to fulfill needs in absence of mechanic; effectively performed mechanic tasks in conjunction with assistant responsibilities for two months- Maintain environmental and Integrated Pest Management programs including Audubon Certification for 15 years- Provide a safe environment for wildlife and create natural areas to promote environmental stewardship and enhance aesthetics; established purple martin haven, inserted Western bluebird boxes and bird houses, created more natural areas, and regularly implement water conservation practices, resulting in the Environmental Award from the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association- Regularly upgrade Rain Bird irrigation system/pump house to ensure smooth operations and maximize turf health

Supervised and managed personnel procedures for team of ten labourers who had little to no golf course experience. Provided hands-on training and guidance to ensure necessary skill acquisition including maintenance practices and machinery operations. Optimized output and provided quality conditions despite crew size. Managed snow removal during winter months.- Implemented necessary cultural practices to overcome disease and obstacles associated with a new course carved out of a swamp, including regular elimination of tree debris- Restored course to playable conditions after 2003’s Hurricane Juan- Managed and meticulously followed budget to ensure fiscal responsibility; led capital improvement projects- Directed fertility and pesticide programs to enhance course playability- Performed reel grinding and other mechanical tasks, as needed- Implemented major irrigation system upgrade including new pump station
