An aircraft spares stockist and supplier my role is to offer the products and services that we can provide to our customers in a straight forward and effective manner ensuring customer satisfaction is at the forefront of every sales negotiation. Armed with technical and industry knowledge I must respond to customer enquiries and target customers based on various aircraft types spares we are able to support them with as well as building and creating new business relationships to secure current and future revenue. Currently working on multiple regions including EMEA (Main Region), APAC and USA.

My role as a Telesales Administrator comprises of various duties. First and foremost I am responsible for processing all the RFQ’s that are received in the sales inbox and creating formal quotes from these making sure each one reflects each companies requirements and what discounts or services that are entitled to. I am also responsible for matching customer’s lists with our stock list using Microsoft excel and techniques such as VLookup, as well as making sure all stock that we have meets the customer’s unique requirements such as trace paperwork and condition.My role also included supporting the sales account managers and the sales manager with various reports and statistics. These included completing commission reports for the sales manager for 5 individual account managers which involved exporting data from our quantum system and matching sales orders and shipping headers to the relevant customer and account manager and ensuring the right amount of commission is allocated according the targets reached by each individual account managers.Another responsibility of my role is business development for the account managers. This included researching customers and determining whether they fit our target market and if the potential for new business would be substantial enough to be added to my report. Once I have established whether a company fits our criteria for new business I would then work on getting the appropriate contact details (Email address or Phone number) to ensure the account managers have a point of contact within the procurement department or with someone who can direct them towards the appropriate contact. This would be done periodically for each sector within the aviation industry such as Airline, MRO or Broker and broken up into two regions, Americas and Rest of the world.

My role as a Core Range Administrator involved making sure all of the core range stock for the Linens and Toys departments were at the correct levels. For this, I had to balance stock levels so that they did not exceed minimum and maximum stock requirements. This was done by periodically counting stock levels and identifying trends in the market and catering appropriately for the increase or decrease of sales in any particular area by ordering adequate amounts of stock.My role involved communicating with the manager and department buyers as well as the buying director to ensure everybody was working towards the same target. This was through many different means including face to face, telephone, fax and email. I also had to communicate clearly with the buying office and keep them informed on any orders that I processed to ensure that I did not exceed given budgets for each department.Within this role I had to keep details of all core stock items and organise them into brands and subcategories, whilst keeping a record of counts, stock on order and stock received to ensure that I had a comprehensive history of stock, available for review at any time. I also had to rectify problems with any returns that come back to the store which involves contacting the supplier and arranging collection, raising debits and forwarding them to the supplier’s accounts department to ensure we received a full credit for the faulty item.

I began working as a sales assistant on the Menswear department for six months, until a colleague in charge of the Luggage department left. I was therefore asked to look after that department on a daily basis, dealing with customers, deliveries, returns, debits and credits, and meeting reps on occasion. I had the opportunity to give input to the buyer on what should be brought in, and what stock should be discontinued.I looked after any work experience kids that were put on my department. This involved making sure they were kept busy day to day but not over worked. I had to teach them about the job they would be doing and teach them a little about the company itself. During the period of their work experience I had to make sure they were in a safe environment and not exposed to any dangers during their time in the company and I made sure they were provided with a fulfilling learning experience.
