Responsible for IT development related services including in-house applications development,integrations / interfaces development, Intranet developments and IT testing services across NHSGreater Glasgow & Clyde (NHSGGC).Responsible for management and delivery of IT support services covering these developments, and ensuring service performance is delivered to agreed service levels and KPIs.Develop and be custodian for the overall applications architecture within NHSGGC Acute Services.Develop and manage the implementation of the IT policies required to support the delivery of projects and the IT service.Specifically: - To directly manage members of staff comprising applications developers, integrationsdevelopers, testers and support staff. - To review and manage the requests for development and delivery of new and existingapplications and database systems, support processes and service improvements, whichsupport both the clinical and administrative functions of the Acute Directorates, ensuringrequirements are prioritised in line with the strategic HI&T aims of NHSGGC. - To manage delivery of the relevant application’s support and service delivery within theNHSGGC Acute environment. - To influence, through analysis and negotiation, the introduction of new applications andtechnologies within - Work across all IT teams to develop and influence overall applications architecture for NHSGGC

To advise and liaise with business sponsors, to specify, initiate, develop, and manage multiple information management and information technology project / programmes across; Acute Directorates and associated Partnerships, ensuring the successful programme delivery within agreed budget / timescales which deliverbenefits to the organisation(s).To deliver an aligned operational vision in line with the overarching Glasgow & Clyde ICT and Scottish Government strategies on behalf of the project and programme sponsors.To ensure ITIL service transition techniques are used to deliver successful implementation of all aspects of the service.To contribute to the design, development and implementation of the HIT systems infrastructure and strategy (i.e. Pan Glasgow I.T. Strategy) and to the delivery of the required Cultural Change and business process improvement within NHS Glasgow & Clyde.To contribute to the successful specification, initiation, reporting and delivery of complex clinical and non-clinical HIT solutions for NHSGG& C and when required Scottish Government.
