Reporting to the Project Support Unit Manager for Contract Management Tasks, Procurement Advice and Executive Support Tasking.

Responsible to the Project Engineering Manager for completion of all certification for the P-8A Air Vehicle prior to Delivery of the first ADF P-8A Poseidon Aircraft. This was to support the ADFs Design Acceptance of the aircraft, to support issuance of the Military Type Certificate and the Military Airworthiness Operators Certificate.

In this position, I provide direct assistance to the Chief Engineer, to ensure the organisation are complying and conforming for the organisations procedures. Key responsibilities include managing the Engineering Management Systems, the Configuration Manager, the Material Safety Officers and the Maintenance Requirements Determination Section. The MRD cell has undergone a revitalisation program this year, which has required both strategic and operational plan develop and execution. I also attend AMSPO project meetings on weekly basis to provide engineering guidance to the project.

I specialised in both Maintenance and Engineering organisations, and assisted many complex organisations with achieving compliance too the Technical Airworthiness Regulations. I provided advice and developed reports on a regular basis for organisational executives, on the status of organisations I worked with.

Responsibilities ranged from design, program, logistical and financial management. I managed two sections over the employment period, one responsible for the AP-3C Aircraft Structural Integrity Program, and the second AP-3C Airframe and Engine Integrated Logistics Support. These positions required management of a number of technical and complex contracts which supported the AP-3C strategic plans and allowed the current operational requirements to be met. Most notable achievements were the management of the AP-3C Safety By Inspection program in 2010, and managing a recovery program for critical AP-3C airframe items, namely landing gear and hydraulic pumps.

responsible for the management of approximately 60 maintenance personnel and providing engineering advice for airframe and engine issues, to determine aircraft serviceability. This required regular liaising with training, engineering and operations organisations, to ensure aircraft could deploy in a serviceable state for periods in excess of three months only with the support of the squadron maintenance personnel. Whilst employed at 10SQN, I lead maintenance teams of 16 to 32 personnel for deployments on Operation Resolute, Operation Catalyst/Slipper and Exercise Kakadu.
