Paul qualified as a Chemical Engineer in 1992 and is a Chartered Engineer with over 20 years experience in Ireland and abroad on a variety of water and wastewater projects from both the consulting and contracting perspective. He worked initially for Jones Environmental, a water and wastewater process contractor, for 7 years before joining J B Barry and Partners Consulting Engineers in 2000. He was responsible for the planning, design, procurement and construction supervision of a variety of large infrastructural water and wastewater projects whilst at JB Barry and Partners. In March 2014 Paul took up a position with Irish Water, the newly formed water utility, in the Asset Programmes wastewater section and subsequently took up the role of Wastewater Infrastructure Programme Manager in December 2016.
