I was a member of the Strategy and Corporate Development team for Sage CRM Solutions; which is the Global CRM Division for the Sage Group and is composed of the ACT!, SalesLogix and SageCRM product lines.

As a corporate development function, the team focused on core areas that facilitate an accelerated execution of business strategies such as strategic acquisitions and partnerships.

I focused on providing an in-depth analysis of the competitive, market and technology landscapes - including emerging trends such as Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Cloud Computing and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

Previously a member of the Sage CRM and SageCRM.com product teams, where I worked on developing the technology strategy and roadmap for the Sage CRM product line.

One of the initial hires for ammado, as Chief Software Architect and Director of Engineering I was responsible for setting the technical direction for the Ammado platform, establishing and growing the technical delivery function, leading development (25+ engineers); as well as being heavily involved in various other functional areas, such as Product Management and IT Operations.

Worked as an Independent Consultant, providing advice and guidance to a wide ranging portfolio of customers across multiple market segments and geographically spread across Ireland, UK and Continental Europe.

Worked with Microsoft Irelands top 20 customers in their respective market segments, which included Public Sector, Finance, Telecommunications and Global Contact/Call Centers

Amadeus is one of the Global “big 4” worldwide GDS (Global Distribution Systems) for customer reservations worldwide and is a joint venture between Air France, Lufthansa, Iberia Airlines and SAS Airlines START Amadeus was a unique entity within the Amadeus group (and joint venture with Deutsche Bahn for the German market), with START Amadeus at the time handling over 90% of all Travel/CRS reservations/bookings/transactions in the German market and having the largest pan-European WAN (by nodes and by geography).Initially I was based at the German HQ in Frankfurt, where I was a member of the IT Strategy group, which formed part of the Office of CTO. I focused on areas where Microsoft technologies could be used to provide strategic enhancements to the 30+ product lines for the Travel/Hospitality/CRS industry and the Global Customer/Travel Distribution System (GDS) for the pan-European market. I moved to Galway, Ireland; where I was one of the initial employees of the new green field development centre in Ireland, where I worked as team and technical lead focused on solution delivery based on Microsoft technologies.
