Profile bio

About Paul Flatley

I am a self-reflective professional who is a caring and conscientious person, who is always eager to learn new skills and update my current skills and knowledge.I possess vast customer care experience regarding adults and children from my time working in Hospitals, the Hospice, GP Surgeries, London Ambulance Service and during my primary teaching degree, this experience has enhanced my communication skills. If I was going to be a manager I would apply the Y style and be a democratic manager but it depends on the setting, the position, the staff, each place is unique, and I want to be adaptable to change and be able to apply my empathy and listening skills, be approachable and work as part of the team, yet still maintain authority, hence a small bit of being autocratic to ensure the objectives are met and yet the staff have good morale.

I am a line manager, managing 3 staff, ensuring they have support when needed, regular 1 to 1"s, PDR reviews, access to training and IT access also.
