One of four external members of Loughborough University's Audit Committee responsible for the oversight, governance and audit of the University's key operational areas. With a complex governance structure, large workforce, changing funding sources, variable student numbers, a new campus and a challenging global financial backdrop, the audit committee plays a key role in ensuring that the University can continue to be one of the best in the UK.

The Development Trust supports the university in giving students an outstanding quality of educational experience. It raises funds from former students and other friends of the university.As a director and trustee, my role was to ensure proper governance of the charitable trust. One of the most important responsibilities is to consider the many proposals for dispersement and decide which projects across campus should benefit from the funds kindly donated through the Trust.
