WelcomeI am a current student at Griffith College studying a Diploma in Health Science with aspirations of commencing a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2024 at Griffith University for a future career in pharmacy. With this I’m also interested in completing further studies to work as a pharmacist in a research capacity.I have worked previously in science related industries over the years and have developed an interest in how all things work scientifically and wish to utilise my currently and future learning to make my path in field of science. My previous experience in the health industry revolved around working as a Clinical Assistant which primarily saw me process and document biological testing including clinical trials as a part of my daily tasks, these tasks/duties were performed in a hospital or laboratory setting requiring knowledge and understanding of blood tests and their requirements along with liaising with other hospital staff including doctors and scientists. I worked within this field for approximately 13 years employed by Queensland Health working within their laboratories.Prior to my current studies at Griffith College, I have spent the best part of the last 8 years as a stay-at-home parent raising my two boys and seeing them both off on their own journey into the education system. The last couple of years has been focused on making myself informed and ready to undertake my studies and focus on both my family and my career path.
