These units consist of;• South / North tank farmThese units store and transport the crude oil to the oil refinery, also this unit stores the finished products before they are sent to the export units.• Tetney tank farmThis unit receives the crude oil from the offshore tankers and sends it to the south tank farm at the refinery.• Rail LoadingThis unit controls the export of LPG which is exported using the railway network. • Dock Silo’sThis unit stores and exports the petroleum coke that is produced as a byproduct of the refining process; it exports the product via a ship loading system that is on site• Caverns gas JettyThis unit stores and imports butane and propane to the refinery. • CokersThis unit produces the petroleum coke • CalcinersThis unit refines the coke dust• Immingham pipeline centre This unit stores and distributes multiple products via tanker’s • Immingham propylene storage This unit stores propylene before it is exported via IPC• East Midlands Crude / north storage / south storageThese units are used for imports into the refineryMy work scope includes; the planning of jobs / purchasing of materials using SAP, PPM Routines, Emergency breakdown work, maintenance and testing of emergency diesel generators, supervising other contract staff, working alongside vendors, and tracking of equipment offsite at third party repairers. This role involves seeing through major shutdowns ensuring all jobs finished on time prior to production start-up.

As an Electrical Technician Apprentice, at Phillips 66, Humber Refinery. I gained a wide range of knowledge and experience in this position, and I performed several tasks including:• Undertaking planned preventative maintenance on equipment in a substation / switch room and out on plant and repairing any damaged components.• Working alongside technicians and specialists in multiple trades including electrical and instrumentation this has given me a better understanding on the equipment on site• Testing and inspecting electrical equipment• Carrying out safe isolation procedures at low voltages under supervised conditions, as well as observing safe isolation procedures at low voltages and high voltages by technicians.• Various fault finding on equipment such as Gem starts, motor managers, trace heating, motor faults, lighting circuits and other equipment. • Writing out permit to work including risk assessments and hazard checklists• Working with E.I.M.s, SAP and LivelinkTraining acquired whilst on site:• Manual Handling• Alkylation access• Safety passport• COMPEX• 17th edition wiring regulations• Environmental awareness• Permit to work• Risk assessment• Harness awareness course (Hewdens)• 1 day first aider course (HETA)
