Golden Boy Foods, a $500 million business unit within Post Private Brands Group, is a leading manufacturer, marketer and distributor of Private Label and branded food products. It supplies organic and conventional peanut and other nut butters, baking nuts, raisins, other dried fruit and trail mixes to leading grocery retailers, top food service distributors and industrial bakeries across North America.Reporting to the Executive Vice President of Post Holdings, Inc., I had executive responsibility for the business of Golden Boy Foods, including its strategic direction, manufacturing, sales & marketing, finance, IT and human resources with six manufacturing plants (3 in Canada, 3 in the US).

It supplies organic and conventional peanut and other nut butters, baking nuts, raisins, other dried fruit and trail mixes to leading grocery retailers, top food service distributors and industrial bakeries across North America.Post Private Brands Group is part of Post Holdings Inc. The group includes two private-label-focused businesses - Golden Boy Foods and Dakota Growers Pasta Company - with combined sales towards $600 million.Reporting to the CEO of Post Private Brands Group, I had responsibility for the Nut Butter Business Unit, including manufacturing, sales & marketing and human resources with four manufacturing plants (2 in Canada, 2 in the US). After joining Golden Boy, I led this business unit’s significant growth, improving earnings and cash flow generation:• Increased volume by 8.7%;• Reduced manufacturing costs by 8.1%;• Expanded gross profit per KG by 32.0%, through (a) cost and price management; (b) improved mix of high-margin business; and (c) manufacturing cost improvements; and • Expanded EBITDA per KG by 33.7% - equates to $6.0 million based upon LTM volume.As the larger of Golden Boy’s two business units, this improvement in profitability contributed significantly to the Company’s ability to make $24 million in capital repayments.

- Menu Foods Income Fund was an unincorporated open-ended trust traded on the Toronto Stock Exchange. It operated 3 state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities (1 in Canada; 2 in the US) had approximately 700 full time employees and was the largest private-label wet pet food manufacturer in North America- Following my appointment as CEO in 2005, designed and implemented a strategy to re-focus the business on manufacturing and operational excellence, strengthen the managment team and drive top-line and bottom-line performance (from 2005 to 2006 (a) increased gross profit by 390 basis points; (b) increased EBITDA by 58%; and (c) reduced leverage ratio from 4.9 to 1.0 to 2.5 to 1.0).- Led the organization through North America's largest product recall. Menu was one of 12 pet food companies defrauded by Chinese suppliers of contaminated vegetable proteins.- Following the recall, restructured and rebuilt the business including (a) sold 1 of Menu's 4 plants to provide cash to finance the recall; (b) reduced operational and overhead costs by $7.5 million and eliminated more than 300 full time employees; (c) increased EBITDA by 103% in two years; and (d) reduced leverage ratio in two years from 6.6 to 1.0 to 2.9 to 1.0- Ultimately led to the sale of the company to a strategic competitor. Increased the company's share/unit price from $0.61 (Feb 20, 2008) to $4.80 (Nov 3, 2010)

- Cott Corporation is reported to be the largest private-label soft drink company in the world. From 1990 to 1998, Cott increased its sales from $42 million to $1.5 billion.- Functional responsibilities included financial reporting, systems, treasury, taxation (including international tax planning), human resources and purchasing.- Led and/or drove negotiations for several acquisitions and divestitures during my tenure.- Reoganized and restructured the finance group.- Completed negotiations of several bank-led financings and two high-yield offerings.

- Pepsi/Seven-Up Toronto, was the largest Canadian Pepsi and Seven-Up franchise.- As controller, I was responsible for all of the financial and administrative processes and controls, including financial reporting, banking, tax and management information.
