I now make my home in Houston. TX and am currently working as a Technical Teacher Facilitator for PetroEd in Houston. I spend a lot of time in Kazakhstan still, at APEC Petrotechnic in Atyrau and still work as Education Director for Children of Central Asia Foundation. Over eight years experience as an English Instructor. Over 20 years experience in the environmental field. Currently provides H&S and OSHA training courses in English, job site inspections to ensure compliance to standards, advises on medical insurance and H&S plans, ISO compliance and certification procedures. Has experience in teaching English both in a school setting and in the business community. This included developing curriculum to teach, finding materials of interest, and appraisal. Has found teaching English for Specific Purposes challenging and rewarding as it helped his own learning in the Russian language.

Mr. Howe was responsible for daily operations, hiring, evaluation, work schedules, adherence to work schedules, production quantities and quality.

Each year from 1995 on, he trained new employees in H&S and OSHA and developed comprehensive H&S plans for various projects over a period of 4-years. In 1997-1998 he wrote job and process descriptions in keeping with ISO 9001 certification requirements. He ran and upgraded the waste water treatment facility for the 300,000 gal/day (1,363,000 L/day) plating operation and during the course of employment worked closely with EPA inspectors in researching new treatment technologies especially for the removal of Cyanide and Chromium from the waste stream. In this respect he contracted and supervised suppliers for renovation and maintenance of waste treatment systems and developed new technologies and made recommendation for meeting EPA, OSHA standards

His function was to research, purchase, and install chemical devices (primarily) in order to improve circuit capacity control. In keeping with this function, Mr. Howe sampled and tested plating baths, rinses, and waste water.
