I'm currently serving as an Audit Associate at KPMG, where I leverage my unique background in education to add value and perspective to my work. Prior to my shift into the world of auditing, I spent 12 enriching years as an Orchestra Director in Texas, an experience that brought me several accolades and honed my skills in leadership, organization, and attention to detail. Transitioning from directing an orchestra to auditing may not seem like the most conventional path, but I've found that the skills I developed as a teacher - such as clear communication, problem-solving, and patience - have been instrumental in my auditing career. As a CPA candidate, I'm eager to further develop my technical skills and continue to use my unique blend of experiences to excel in my role.My journey from the classroom to the corporate world has been an exciting one, and it has equipped me with a diverse set of soft skills. These include an ability to work harmoniously within a team, an innate capacity for empathy, and a knack for managing multiple tasks while maintaining high standards of work.
