• Set up and led 2 scrum teams in the implementation of significant infrastructure and application upgrades for the SAS-based Transaction Monitoring and Fircosoft-based Payments Sanctions platforms.• Worked closely with the internal Financial Crime Analysis and the Oracle, SAS and Lexis Nexis Risk Solution vendor teams to define the project architecture, solution design, objectives, roadmap, and outcomes.• Owned and delivered the annual business case creation and signoffs, and managed all regular reporting, risk & compliance, delivery lifecycle and project working/steering group meetings and materials.• Controlled and administered proof-of-concept initiatives with external vendors team which resulted in a large and complex multi-year Financial Crimes Technology modernisation program.

• Managed the cyber and risk control mitigation program across the Financial Crimes platform and successfully closed out all open Risk in Change issues within the SAS-based Transaction Monitoring and Fircosoft-based Sanctions platforms, working closely with the Risk & Compliance and Service Management teams.• Led 2 significant infrastructure upgrade & replacement projects across SAS and Fircosoft to ensure that the platforms met their end-of-service and end-of-life dates. The projects met all planned milestones and were delivered within budget and to schedule. The upgrade program achieved a 50% increase of transaction processing power within a newly implemented high-availability configuration.• Delivered the financial years’ business cases, project setups, and implementation planning/execution/reporting activities with a strong focus to adhere to the Risk & Compliance, Delivery and SDLC frameworks.• Achieved significant year-to-year cost savings by setting up, guiding and leading multiple smaller delivery squads as Scrum Master and distributing work effectively and efficiently according to ever-changing business needs.• Initiated and built successful and close vendor relationships (SAS, Fircosoft/LNRS) which enabled the organisation to build well-accepted delivery schedules with realistic and achievable stretch targets.• Led the infrastructure design, setup, implementation, and ongoing support activities for a critical Financial Crimes back-office application to distribute case reviews to the appropriate on- and offshore analysts which resulted in 50% larger capacity and an active-active disaster recovery solution.• Planned, scheduled, and led many all-night implementations to ensure quality delivery outcomes for the Financial Crimes Analysis, Operations and Risk teams.

• Led the infrastructure, integration, and implementation teams across the New Payments Platform program (NPP/Osko/PayID). This required a large amount of interaction and cooperation with the infrastructure and software vendors as well as all large Australian financial institutions, including the Reserve Bank and BPAY.• Successfully managed all release and implementation activities (over 150 changes) for NPP. The go-live event in Feb 2018 was a major success for CBA as it was the only major bank to meet this milestone.• Set up a well-thought out and strong environment management and implementation planning/delivery framework for ongoing use within the Payment Services Unit.

• Managed the planning, setup and configuration of test environments for the Mambo (Me and My Bank Online) program. These environments had real-time integration with Westpac and BPAY built around an MQ infrastructure and were a trial run for NPP/PayID/Osko.• Managed the integration and deployment activities (as part of a team) for a significant Murex data migration project. This was a global project with CBA satellite centres in Singapore, London, and New York, ran for over 2 years and was an outstanding success. The final production migration ran for well over 48hrs.• Implemented and delivered several MQ-specific projects to facilitate complex global payment connectivity flows. Outstanding professional achievement by setting up and maintaining close and successful vendor relationships across many international teams and organisations.• Managed a substantial part of the implementation and integration work for the – at the time - world’s largest video conferencing system deployment to over 1000 branches and 250 lending specialists (3 major implementation phases across all states). The project won the Retail Bank ‘Project of the Year’ award.• Delivered and deployed a significant part of the componentisation of the Bank Payment Hub (key component of Core Banking Modernisation initiative). The team successfully deployed 80+ infrastructure and application changes over a 5-month period into the bank’s real-time payment environment without a single significant incident.• Managed the provisioning, configuration, and administration of one of the very first virtual server environments within CBA. Led a newly formed multi-national environment management team, created all processes and procedures, and mentored the team to grow into a critical and valuable organisational unit which is still in existence today.
