In my role, I oversee FX Trade Capture platform as Product Owner, ensuring budget management and release timescale adherence. I also identify product delivery requirements and manage product backlog list via JIRA, coordinating releases through scoping with BA and Dev Teams to successful implementation. I facilitate communication between the technology teams and business by updating project status to business stakeholders and senior IT management, highlighting potential risks, and suggesting courses of action for swift business decisions, leading to prioritized and budget-friendly deliveries. I also engage with the clients, managing UAT and sign off processes with system consumers, improving efficiencies through early notifications using Confluence and comprehensive regression testing. I analyze business requirements, managing full cycle from gathering requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment for FX applications.Highlights of the role are:• Acted as escalation point for new business requests, hosting prioritization meetings for highest beneficial work alignment with Business Objectives, ensuring IT resources were optimized.• Spearheaded Regulatory compliance by collaborating with Compliance and Control teams, prioritizing, and implementing changes like MiFID II requirements, ensuring Barclays' adherence to reporting regulations.• Led LIBOR decommissioning project for FX, transitioning legacy indexes to new rates like SONIA, involving design and implementation plans for FX products and lifecycle processes.• Took on interim lead responsibilities for the Markets Stability Book of Work, reporting to senior IT management, consolidating Book of Work for all Asset Classes, liaising with Managing Directors across Asset Classes, creating information and meeting decks for high-profile audiences.

I oversaw the delivery of Markets RCSAs, conducting risk assessments on front office processes like trade booking and supervision across eight asset classes. I also managed the Front Office control testing team within First Line of Defence, ensuring timely assurance on governance, risk management, and controls. I acted as the product lead for RCSA execution in Counterparty Risk Trading, Barclays Investment Managers, and Resource Management Group, assessing front office principal risks and controls. I have collaborated with global functional leads to validate inherent risk assessments, ensuring ratings align with actual risk events and impacts. I have led reviews on control effectiveness, identifying and addressing 10 control gaps within Emerging Markets FX desk.Notable achievements of the role are:• Evaluated residual risk post-controls, develop action plans to mitigate risk, and fortify control environments within board tolerance levels.• Managed Conduct Risk assurance globally on an interim basis, overseeing portfolio of 11 global reviews.• Enhanced policies and standards through gap analysis, implementing remediation programs to ensure Markets compliance.• Investigated control failures in high-risk areas such as firm funding and curve marking processes across large datasets.• Represented CCO in UT working group, evaluating Barclays' control environment over trading controls in Markets asset classes.• Conducted Joiner, Mover, Leaver reviews across all businesses, one of the few controls testing reports from 1LOD reaching the Barclays Group CEO office.• Coordinated working groups across 3LoD, including Compliance and Internal Audit teams, to establish testing activities and provide "Check and Challenge" assessments.

I oversaw Strategic Architecture management, collaborating with change leads and participating in working groups. I also led five trading floor teams, managing 22 individuals, overseeing trade capture assistance, secondary bookings, and life cycling of various trades. I have collaborated with rates desk to develop a new TCU process for Bond Auctions, addressing Trader conflict of interest. I also ensured the completion of mandatory training and conducted oversight for teams. I have reviewed and updated the procedures to meet new control standards. I also logged operational incidents in Barclays risk event system with appropriate remediation actions firmly in place.Highlights include:• Managed FX cash, FX Derivatives, Commodities Core, Structured Rates Options, and Bonds for Credit and Rates desks, requiring Finra registration for US entity trades.• Expanded remit to encompass Bonds team, becoming global product lead for FX and regional lead for Barclays Non-Core.• Took charge as Unauthorised Trading lead, reorganizing FX reconciliations and processes to Middle Office. Partnered with COO and IT teams to introduce new report identifying Stale curve data for ROST desk supervisors.• Managed communications with internal stakeholders such as FO, IT, COO, Compliance, R&C, ORM, PCG, Ops, and IBMO.• Facilitated Murex decommissioning to Barx Trade services, Barx Trade capture, and FX compressions, ensuring seamless business requirements implementation, UAT, and migrations to new trading platforms.

I oversaw the trade validation post-execution and primary T0 controls for trade representation, encompassing lifecycle management, internal reconciliations, and non-standard counterparty controls. I have managed a team of 20 individuals to establish new IB Middle Office teams, reorganized primary controls and staff into new structure, incorporating relocation of EOD P&L process for FX structured desks from PCG to Middle Front Office.Notable achievements include:• Oversaw realignment of functions in response to Fed regulatory commitments to prevent unauthorized trading, resulting in the relocation of trade capture activities to Front Office and creation of specialized Middle Office function focused on controls and data quality.• Led efforts for regulatory and unauthorized trading compliance, collaborating with key IT and business stakeholders to develop and implement controls and procedures for areas such as RWA reporting, non-standard counterparty monitoring, manual payment standards, and FX clearing.
