I have moved on to my second stop along the way, MBI Health Services in NE Washington . Different office, amazing people, and an incredible feel of true concern for the clients that ARE the business here. I had another owner of a similar Agency say that he didn't CARE what the clients felt or thought, and I was shocked. He had a business to run, he put it quite plainly.....as my gut flipped all the way to another job, I thought that the business he spoke of WAS people, thinking , feeling, clients. It is no different then my small weekend entrepreneurship venture of a valet service in downtown Bethesda. One restaurant, one sign and one car the first night I put that dingy little sign in front.. That sign to Valet for 5 dollars has grown to several, newer signs, more restaurants, but the bottom line is the same, we park for 5 dollars. That's what the clients want.....dinner, my smile, and a fiver for the convenience of door to door service. It keeps me humble so I never forget what my business is really all about, people. I don't fix them, I don't work miracles, but I listen to THEIR stories and my heart is large enough to care. I remind them that they are NOT their diagnoses, don't label yourself and buy into the stigma.....we are two people and in our partnership let me sell you what is so good and so powerful within that wonderful heart/brain of yours!
