In a vertical move I was promoted to graduate admissions at Academy of Art University. As a graduate admissions representative I made certain that each prospective student has the best enrollment experience possible. From learning about the school, accredited programs, to enrolling in classes that every aspect is completed in a clear, efficient, and professional manner.• Manage a portfolio of 1000+ students.• Support prospective students by scheduling introduction meetings to follow up calls with applicants.• Facilitate and manage the enrollment process of each applicant to ensure all academic protocol is met prior to quarterly deadlines.• Daily use of Peoplesoft, Salesforce, Workday, and MicroSoft Office.I was laid off in April 2021 along with 25 other admissions representatives due to Covid cut backs. I look to continue my work in connecting with others and helping them achieve their goal.

At this time, I decided to make a career pivot with the intention to acquire office skills that would make me more marketable. The Academy of Art is the largest private art school in the United States. In my position as a University Ambassador, I was asked to inspire and engage prospective students and families by leading 1 hour presentations through university facilities, while providing highest levels of customer service. Showcasing exceptional knowledge about all 23 majors for both undergraduate and graduate departments, including program requirements, tools and techniques used, and notable alumni achievements. In this role I was able to build upon my skills in public speaking, communication, logistics, leadership, event management, project management, team management, time management, resourcefulness, problem solving and presentations. While simultaneously, providing an integral role in the onboarding process by training new employees with necessary knowledge in order to become effective organizational members. As well as, customizing VIP tours and for large & small groups and being involved in coordinating special events & school activities.

In another vertical move I began employment with Best Bay Area tour. Best Bay Area tour is an experienced tour operator based in San Francisco, California. Tours offered include city tour, Muir woods, Sausalito, Sonoma, Napa, and Yosemite National park. As general manager I am involved in B2B operations, product management, quality assurance, fleet maintenance, consolidating tours to maximize profitability, increased gross sales in charters by prospecting new clients and building greater partnerships with existing clients.License: California Commercial Driver License: Class B, Passenger Endorsement, 26000 lbs

In a vertical move while also being able to move back to my home region of Norther California, I began employment with Extranomical. Extranomical tours is an independent San Francisco tour company. As a tour director I strived to create a memorable experience for our international clientele to Yosemite, Muir woods, and Sonoma & Napa. During my time with Extranomical I was able to build upon my skills in communication, public speaking, presentation, logistics, leadership, team management, time management, project management, product management, problem solving, and resourcefulness. As a college student I was inspired by my history professor during my sophomore year. The attribute that made him stand out to me was, he had visited all the places he talked about in his lectures. Due to his personal experiences in those locations he was able to bring his lectures to life. After that class, I wanted my own personal accounts of historical locations which led me to work for Trek America.Trek America, established in 1972, is the premiere outdoor & adventure budget tour company that runs tours throughout the USA, Canada, Mexico, and Central America. As a Trek leader, I led diverse groups through various National parks, State parks, rural towns, and cities.These camping tours varied from 7 to 64 days which entailed event planning, project management, organizational skills, logistics, leadership, team management, problem solving, resourcefulness, sales, negotiation, problem solving and decision making. Paris is a romantic city which is how this chapter began. After a highly competitive hiring process I was able to earn a Carte de Sejour which allowed me to continue my professional development as a historian by working with Fat Tire Bike tours in Paris, France. Fat Tire Bike Tours, established in 1999, offers guided English-speaking tours of Paris, Versailles, and Monet's Garden which has grown to the largest city bicycle tour operation in the world. As a bicycle tour leader, I was tasked with leading groups of 30+ through the streets of Paris presenting the monuments, architecture, and history of the region with exceptional public speaking.Along with public speaking, during my time in Paris I was able to build upon skills such as communication, logistics, leadership, team management, time management, project management, resourcefulness, problem solving and presentations.
