Education Consultant, specialising in leadership development, school improvement and coaching; working primarily with schools, Local Authorities, and on government projects.An experienced Headteacher, I have previously led three London schools. For the past seven years I have been a practicing Consultant Leader, working independently for the National College, educational companies, Local Authorities, and with individual schools. The main areas of my work encompass: leadership development; coaching and mentoring; school self-evaluation; and as a tutor on National College programmes. Additionally, I am a registered Ofsted inspector, a School Improvement Partner, a National Challenge Adviser and have acted as a School Regional Improvement Adviser in the West Country, supporting Local Authorities and schools in the National Challenge, and with 6th Form improvement

I did similar work in Ealing and Enfield as part of the Keys to Success London Challenge programme and as a Children’s Services Adviser for Capita.• Tutored seven groups of school leaders and school business managers. This has involved online as well as face to face module delivery.• Carried out extensive school self-evaluation reports in seven London Schools; each report involved four days work.• Organised and delivered coaching and mentoring courses and have coached and mentored thirty senior staff. This work has extended to middle leaders.• Supported a school in Essex with their change management process for BSF.• Supported schools making School Business Manager appointments at senior level and in the implementation of the International Baccalaureate. • Worked on national and regional programmes. This includes being an accredited trainer for National Strategies 'Stronger Management and Stronger Governance Systems'.• Experienced trainer of School Governing Bodies.• Carried out over 40 Value-for-Money consultancies with schools nationwide.

In addition, the school developed a surplus budget.

As Acting Head and First Deputy, I guided the school through the transition from Inner London Education Authority to Camden. I had a major responsibility for staffing, staff development, pastoral systems and the pastoral curriculum.

The following positions were held: Acting Senior Teacher/Head of 6th Form, Head of Humanities (including PSE) and Head of History. • United World College of S.E. Asia, Singapore: 1976-81. This, at the time, was the largest international school in Asia. I became the youngest Head of Department (History) in the School’s history; I was also responsible for the Social Service Programme, which formed the core of the College’s ethos. The Department consistently achieved some of the best results in the school.• Crown Woods School (ILEA /Greenwich): 1974-76. At this time, one of largest mixed comprehensives in the country.
