Working in a contract capacity I have implemented the transition of Brookfield Global Integrated Solutions (BGIS) Staff nationally to a new IT platform and server. As a business professional I have provided a calm and balanced experience for the end users through what is a huge step change for the business. This was an unexpected professional direction for me to take however, by diving in, utilising my communication techniques, being able to 'think on my feet', utilising my analysing and strategizing skills, cost containment considerations as well as my ability to rapidly learn in a completely new environment has resulted in over 800 staff having their computer device upgraded via reimaging or replaced. The same staff have had their devices then profiled to suit their daily needs and have engaged in a handover training course co-developed, refined and delivered by me. Acknowledged by the contract partner business for my ability to consistently exceed customer expectations and smooth out situations well before they are issues for the client. Regularly provided with praise and positive feedback regarding the consideration of the end user needs, communication and professional support to those completing the device transition. I have assisted to raise the internal staff perception of BGIS IT Support team during this contract which is a very positive side effect of my involvement. Business Advisor, Quality Assessor, Inventory Manager

G & S Prestige Panelbeaters

Kirrawee, Australia

Assess the finished standard of customer’s vehicles prior to their return following private or insurance based repairs at this well recognised Vehicle Repairer. Report on positives and any area requiring further attention. By focussing on improving profitability, work flow, output and communication accuracy also working alongside a Disability Employee Program partner I ensured all peripheral business activities ran incredibly smoothly so that the core business was the focus of the owners and tradespeople. Achievements;I managed to reduce the amount of vehicles being returned for customer perceived short comings from 5% to 0.45%. This has resulted in approximately 90 less vehicles p.a. being returned by customers thus freeing up previous rework time for new business or new revenue. This equated to a 4.5% improvement to the return on labour investment further enhanced by the significant reduction in the requirement for overtime.I introduced a vehicle book-in system that directly aligned the business output to the payment structure adopted by the major insurers. This established a baseline for business performance measures and immediately added approximately 7% to business profitability as well as providing an accurate cash flow forecasting tool. The same book-in system also significantly increased customer satisfaction levels due to the professional communication of the repair timeline expectations. The business was recognised by the NRMA as Top 3, nationally, for customer satisfaction.I have assisted the transition of a business that was just surviving to become a benchmark for a privately owned vehicle repairer for both profitability and industry recognition.

National Merchandising Manager And Special Projects Manager

For Arts Sake Pty Ltd

Taren Point, Australia

Re-establish the business’ Sales Merchandising structure to ensure best possible return on investment of merchandising employees, plant and equipment. Manage and centrally co-ordinate the sales oriented responsibilities, training and up-skilling of 60+ Merchandisers (full and part-time) nationally.Manage the planning, product and POS rollout and establishment into 570 Australia Post outlets nationally. These locations were new business to For Arts Sake. I served as the key go between for the business and the major retailer for the category. This required a multi-layered negotiation approach between myself and numerous internal and external contacts combined with a considerable level of attention to detail.Achievements;Within ten weeks I had successfully managed the establishment of 100 new retail trading outlets for the business worth approximately $500,000 (pre discount figure) in initial sales and approximately $1,700,000 during the first year of trading together. I had also generated a further 3 month plan for the next 400 outlets, worth approximately $2,000,000 in initial sales and close to $3,000,000 ongoing, in the first year. A comprehensive category overview that I completed of Australia Post came about by establishing trusting business relationships with key personnel to acquire relevant and up to date data. Quickly establishing a thorough understanding of Australia Post’s wants and needs and overlaying those with For Arts Sake’s expectations ensured appropriate forward planning for new labour requirements and the containment of associated costs.I established the systematic processes to generate accurate and speedy progression through this significant project. The same systems and processes meant training and delegating tasks could be done easily.
