My responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations for the CPBN Learning Lab/Journalism and Media Academy (JMA) partnership, as well as the CPBN Media Lab, and educational afterschool programs.

Create, design and teach journalism and technical media skills to middle and high school students, through CPBN Media Lab original courses, workshops and seminars both in person, on location and online.

I manage the Connecticut Public Broadcasting (CPBN) Media Lab, an educational new media production unit. In little more than a year, we have provided real world training for students from UConn, Trinity College, University of Hartford, Quinnipiac University, Central Connecticut State University, Syracuse University, Emerson College, Amherst College, University of Rhode Island, Smith College and Springfield College. Current projects include the Outdoor Enthusiast and (I)NTERVIEW, a series that uncovers personal stories from people who work, live and play in Connecticut. Before joining the online unit, I wrote and produced the emmy nominated documentary, a child. a family. a future.

Created CPTV’s On-Air Brand Guidelines, established and led the Cross Department On-Air Branding Group and launched CPTV’s first blogs, podcasts, online chats, streaming media, YouTube, Facebook and Flickr Channels

Received National Corporation For Public Broadcasting Promotion Awards, Wrote/Produced/Directed all CPTV National/Local Program/Fundraising Promotions and Wrote/Produced the State of Connecticut’s Millennial video for National PBS Broadcast
