As an engaging and values-driven leader, I have enjoyed a dynamic career in strategic communication and stakeholder engagement, working across public and private sector organisations to manage high-profile, high-impact campaigns, whole-of-government communications, and complex industry and community relations matters. I have acted as corporate spokesperson for a national organisation, positioning their agenda to the media and in parliamentary inquiries, to advance brand objectives.Having worked in government and politics for several years, I have a deep understanding of political process and the machinery of government. Back in 2010, I was the spokesperson for the Leader of the Opposition and led media strategy and execution for the Coalition’s first successful state election in Victoria in 14 years. I then worked as Director of Communications and Deputy Chief of Staff for the Officer of Premier and Cabinet in Victoria before becoming Chief of Staff to the Minister of Transport. The well-established network of government relationships I had established, positioned me well for a move into consultancy and I joined Bastion in 2016 as Partner of their Government and Community division. Here I worked as a trusted strategic advisor to shape and execute corporate affairs and communications strategies for enterprise clients including SkyBus, Rubicon Water, and Go Gentle Australia. I mobilised and led the incredible team that delivered the award-winning Go Gentle Australia campaign, which was instrumental in delivering Australia’s first voluntary assisting dying legislation and led to similar laws being passed across the nation. I returned to state infrastructure in 2018 as Director of Government Relations for Rail Project Victoria and subsequently built and led the Communications, Stakeholder Engagement, and Government Relations functions for RPV’s dynamic portfolio of emerging major projects.I have recently launched Paul Price Advisory as an independent strategic communications consultancy and am working with private sector clients operating across diverse industry sectors, providing strategic advisory and hands-on support for complex external affairs, media management, and government relations matters.
