Having studied an MSc in Crop Improvement at The University of Nottingham, I have expanded my knowledge on the current global problems facing world agriculture, extensively studied the theory behind crop improvement, and have gained valuable practical lab and field experience. In my current role as a strawberry breeder I have been involved in every step of the process. From planning and executing controlled crosses to scoring and selecting material in the field to writing PVR patents.I have also gained experience beyond the breeding process. My experience managing a tissue culture lab focused on strawberry micropropegation has further facilitated my understanding within the industry.
