Manage financial operations of a year-round, full-time assisted living facility for adults who have developmental disabilities. Also responsible for information technology, risk management, financial reporting, and various compliance requirements, including HIPAA. Handle all aspects of investment pool of over $5.2 million, most of which is self-managed. Develop robust budgets and cash flow forecasts for annual operating expenses of over $6.3 million. Oversee preparation of annual financial statements, audits and tax returns, with consistently clean audits. Support fundraising professionals in development of grant proposals and subsequent reporting. Developed financial infrastructure for a new non-profit affiliate.

Responsible for financial operations and information technology for the conference center and three affiliated organizations (a for-profit 36-hole golf course, a non-profit volunteer-run “developing-world” gift shop, and a non-profit youth camp), with budgets ranging from $230,000 to $6 million and investments of over $5 million. Supervised five full-time staff plus summer volunteers. Successfully led two significant migrations of key software systems: accounting and hotel management. Integrated hotel system and PBX for call accounting and automated housekeeping updates. Led process for selection and integration of key cards to replace metal keys.

Managed UNIX systems for campus-wide e-mail, timesharing, and Usenet newsgroups. Led Open Systems Group during time of extensive expansion. Developed software to allow campus website to present a customized view depending on whether the reader was on- or off-campus. Also managed central computer systems for Emory University Law Library.

Configured and operated research supercomputers, developing software, preparing documentation, and consulting with faculty and graduate students. Collaborated with scientific computing specialists in their support of computational research. Maintained and developed strong working relationships with vendors.
