Orlando

Project engineer for remediation of 1,1-DCE, cis-1,2-DCE and vinyl chloride dissolved groundwater plume. Designed and implemented bioremediation using both fixed and mobile treatment system to deliver edible oil substrate, sodium bicarbonate buffer and DHC inoculant. The second year of remediation has utilized monthly buffer injections with groundwater recirculation to improve subsurface distribution of amendments. Analytical results from January 2015 indicate cis-1,2-DCE was reduced by 93% since June 2014 in the well with the historically highest concentrations. Monitoring continues to confirm contaminant reductions below their respective NADCs.

Collected 18 soil gas and 2 ambient samples utilizing summa canisters with regulators for analysis by EPA Methods TO-15 and 3C. Performed oversight of additional monitor well installation and collected soil gas samples utilizing Geoprobe soil gas implants.

City of Orlando, Future Performing Arts Center, Orlando, FloridaProject engineer for soil assessment of benzo(a)pyrene, generated LSAR, RAP and Bid Specifications at the Future Performing Arts Center site in conjunction with Brownfields Rehabilitation Site Agreement. Provided field oversight of excavation, transport, and disposal of soils, backfill, compaction, and restoration. Project completed on time and under budget. Generated and submitted Removal Action Report to FDEP.

Scheduled five quarterly groundwater sampling events and generated associated deliverables. SRCO issued in December 2009 and well abandonment performed the following month.

FDEP Bureau of Waste CleanupProvided project management and engineering design for chlorinated solvent sites within the FDEP Dry Cleaner Solvent Cleanup Program (DCSCP) under contracts HW512, HW510 and HW551. Performed design and management of in-house remedial system trailer construction, treatment system installation, and O&M of SVE systems at Priceless, Best, Pugh’s, and Gator’s Dry Cleaners. Designed a mass flux approach to system optimization and implemented optimization field procedures during monthly O&M of SVE systems at Priceless and Pugh’s Dry Cleaners. Performed supplemental groundwater assessment at Priceless Dry Cleaners utilizing membrane interface probe with direct push technology and generated subsequent SSAR. Performed supplemental soil and groundwater assessment at Pure Cleaners and generated SSAR. Performed and provided oversight of lactate injection at Priceless, Gator’s, Dry Clean USA, JC, and Bruce Dry Cleaners.
