About Paul Smith

As CFO of Europe’s leading independent natural gas and oil company Wintershall Dea, I am part of a great team of excellent and committed people. We formed Wintershall Dea last year with the vision to satisfy a growing demand for energy in a sustainable matter, by bringing together the experience, excellence, technology and performance of both Wintershall and DEA. I am proud to have helped secure a smooth execution of the merger and the company’s EUR 4 billion bond emission debut, which won accolades from a variety of institutions.On the board of Wintershall Dea, I am responsible for Accounting and Reporting, Corporate Finance and Treasury, Information Technology, Procurement, Corporate Audit and Marketing and Sales.
