Transitioned out of the Royal Australian Navy post 25 years of service as an Electronic Technician (Weapons Systems Specialist, Missile systems, 76mm Oto Melara Gun system, Torpedo's and Decoy systems). I had varied roles such as Maintenance Planner, Risk Manager and WHS supervisor, Training coordinator and carried out Fleet Engineering Management Audits. Being a Weapons Systems Specialist I have a strong fitting, hydraulic, electrical and electronic system background. I’m exceptionally keen to learn, grow and develop new skills. I currently work for BAE Systems Australia as Support Engineering Team Lead. In this role I supervise 3 Support Engineers who monitor and report system obsolescence providing remedial outcomes. I also manage FRACAS (failure reporting, analysis, and corrective action system), this is a part of RAM Analysis. I also manage our two Technical Trainers, one mechanical and one electrical/electronic and also manage the Condition based monitoring program which needed to be fully established. I am very team centric with a very strong focus on Safety and sound leadership that is based on Humility, Communication, Trust and Innovation. My personality is extroverted with a dash of humour. Whilst, my experience predominantly lies within the Marine industry I would relish an opportunity to work in the mining or offshore industry. I’m open to all career options.
