Managing residential repairs alongside EQC and private insurers for overcap work, dealing with clients and sub-contractors on a daily basis, managing resources and budgets.

Worked on a number of projects up to £4.4M, including, a block of luxury apartments, a commercial waste and recycling centre and all of the external landscaping and external drainage to complete the construction of a defence building.

Various contracts up to a value of £20M. These included:Rock armour protection to existing intertidal revetment together with minor concrete and drainage works45ML twin cell reservoir 72x37x9m together with associated pipe work and minor modifications at remote sites.13,000M3 soil movement to facilitate the construction of a defence building, along with a sheet pile retaining wall and concrete capping beam, a 40 meter concrete wall reducing in height along its length to run parallel with the existing road.Groundwork’s package for Aspire Defence. The contract was to provide deep and shallow drainage, concrete slabs, rainwater harvest tanks, road works, car parks and landscaping for the MOD on various sites around Tidworth and Perham Down army camps. The works were at the centre of the two busy camps which were continuously populated by army personnel throughout the duration of the works.

Upgrade of Transformer bunds and installation of oil separators.400Kv Substation new Super Grid Transformer and associated works. Concrete SGT base, drainage works, road works & services. Substation drainage works, repairs to existing site drainage.275Kv Substation new MSCDN works. New MSCDN foundations with associated drainage and services, roadworks and fencing.GlaxoSmithKline - Building internal extension to accommodate new process stream.Shell Refinery - Clean Fuels Project - Reinforced concrete foundations, underground pipe work/services, roads and paving.BP Refinery - Clean Fuels Gasoline Project - Reinforced concrete foundations, underground pipe work and services, paving and road works.Also worked on various petrochemical & pharmaceutical refurbishment projects at: Esso Fawley Refinery, GSK Worthing and GSK Crawley.

After obtaining my City & Guilds in Bricklaying, I worked for a number of companies gaining experience in a wide range of construction related activities, including: general building, leisure, transport, restoration, water/sewer installation, water meter installation, GRE pipe work installation and fabrication works.
