Fire Watch Program Manager
•Plan, coordinate, promote, and manage the operations and implementation of volunteer activities conducted by the Irvine Ranch Conservancy under contract to and in cooperation with landowners, partner organizations, and agencies related to fire prevention activities for the Orange County Fire Watch Program.•Cultivate and maintain relationships with landowners, Orange County Fire Authority and local fire departments, and other non-profits and community groups as part of a larger Fire Watch Network.•Responsible for management of volunteer activities in the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks and other pre-determined County wilderness areas related to fire prevention, including recruiting, pre-service orientation, training, and certification of new volunteers, as well as ongoing training, deployment, and evaluation of existing volunteers. •Train, evaluate, and coordinate deployment of Conservancy staff and landowner staff in support of fire prevention activities. •Maintain the Fire Watch program web pages, web-based reporting and analysis, web-based scheduling and coordination of fire prevention activities, and deliver a monthly Fire Watch e-newsletter. •Work with a team of Community Programs professionals to maintain volunteer records, enforce policies and procedures, coordinate correspondence, plan and implement recognition events, evaluate individual volunteer and overall program effectiveness, purchase volunteer supplies and gear, and assist in budget development and management.
