- Development and maintenance of iCarus (a spare part management tool), Site Info Tool web application and Field Ops intranet site including team Wiki- Implementation of regular remote battery discharge test of cell sites including script creation and deployment, analyzing test results and managing battery replacements- Ran service improvements: improving performance and stability, meeting response to SLA on call-out assigned HEAT tickets and NCRs.- Operational Site Acceptance QA: Ensuring all new site builds meet installation standards and QA acceptance for operational handover is conducted- Acceptance and Quality assurance of all Transmission and RAN upgrades on the operational network – ATN/RTN/MW/FTS/L900/L700/L1800- Operations Engineering: maintenance support to NOC, L2 Operations Teams and the management of Field Service and 3rd party external support. - Carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)- Performing audits, reviewing requests to ascertain sustainability during planned and unplanned outages, including generator servicing and DC system reliability- Safety Systems: Annual re-certification and tracking- RAN COW (Cell on wheels) deployment: deployment and support of deployments for mitigation and events, COW maintenance and serviceability, deployment preparation – hardware and software- Installation of transmission (PTN/ATN/RTN), 2G/3G/4G antennas, combiners and filters- Hardware upgrades- Commissioning, Integration and troubleshooting- Decommissioning and Retrieval

• Handling all the technical and electrical faults and tasks independently within the scope of on-call duty; escalating problems if required• Carrying out maintenance work on network elements and technically operated systems as well as preventive maintenance in line with stipulated procedures• Extensive specialist knowledge and practical experience based on the UMTS-Technology (Repeater, RBS, RNC)• Carrying out switching orders and upgrades (GSM/EDGE/UMTS)• Good experience with RF, PDH and SDH transmission systems and multiplexing• Deployment and maintenance of mobile BTSs (COWs) and repeaters• Carrying out infrastructure and lightning protection maintenance work in line with stipulated procedures• Caretaker and host function for allocated sites and network elements• Representative for Vodafone D2 at sites (landlord, contracting companies, customers and representatives of authorities)
