As the Tornado fleet Airworthiness Surveyor I was responsible for providing airworthiness assurances to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager that all Tornado GR4 aircraft were maintained in accordance with the approved maintenance schedule.Referencing Maintenance Policy and utilising data capture software, I ensured the quality assurance and airworthiness of the RAF Tornado fleet, providing lead governance in accordance with local procedures and guidelines. Often taking the role as senior surveyor and participating in continuous improvement initiatives, I demonstrated a proven effective ability to formalise optimum planning strategies in order to mitigate risk and alleviate pressure/burdens for aircraft operators and senior executives. Performing physical aircraft inspection and maintenance documentation review ensuring all Airworthiness Directives had been complied with, authorised and life critical components had been correctly managed in preparation for the issue of the Military Airworthiness Review Certificate (ARC) for the Royal Air Force Tornado fleet.
