P M Kennedy is a well established survey practise that services the greater Victoria region. Run by Kathryn Kennedy, the General Manager and son of the founder Paul Kennedy have expended and today have nearly twenty employees on the payroll. I have been brought on as they have been understaffed for some time now. Having a vast experience in Cadastral Surveying and Land Development have positioned me nicely as I find myself managing and overseeing younger or less experienced surveyors, party leading and mentoring and bringing some of my ideas through to benefit the company as a whole. Whist still being very new I look forward to what the future holds for me here in Melbourne.

There is a lot of work looking ahead with the new Hamilton Expressway and the housing squeeze gripping the country. Rad Surveying expanded early 2015 after picking up some large scale developments in the northern end of Hamilton as well as the multi million dollar upgrade going ahead at Hampton Downs, not to mention the multitude of retirement villages being constructed in Te Awamutu.We were involved at the very outset undertaking Topographical Surveyings and managing the project right through to the Works Clearance and Completion Certification from the Local Authority and Lodgement with Land Information New Zealand.

Riverwalk ProjectThe role I was given was the sole surveyor for a 100 million pound apartment block in Chelsea overlooking the Thames River that consists of 116 individual residences. The role included overseeing every aspect of all surveying disciplines from the original basement setout through to the seventeenth floor fitout. The role also included the verification of subcontractor’s work and calibration of all surveying instrumentation.De Vere GardensSite Engineer / Surveyor for a 250 million pound apartment block in Kensington that consists of 96 individual residences. The role included establishing horizontal and vertical control, setout of critical aspects from central column supports to towel rails. As-built and investigation works, high spec interior fit-out, and detailing and communicating results.

Christchurch

The Land Surveying team at Beca in Christchurch grew quickly after the devastating earthquakes to hit the region in 2010/2011. The team grew 400 percent in less than a year and with the outlook prosperous for the foreseeable future, the Christchurch Geospatial team will be a very busy and enjoyable work environment.
