I am a Systems Engineering and Integration Engineer at NASA Kennedy Space Center working under the COMET contract. I work under the Exploration Ground Systems program, certifying systems supporting the Artemis missions. I have a Bachelor's of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Central Florida. My background includes working as an OSTEM Intern for NASA Langley Research Center where I collaborated with research aerospace engineers on the development of autonomy algorithms for a lunar crane. Prior to this internship, I interned as a Mechanical Project Engineer Associate at Mitsubishi Power Americas where I obtained interdisciplinary skills working with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers. I participated in researching micro fluidity behavior in different gravitational orientations - research that contributes to studying how osteoporosis would look in astronauts, critical information as we push into the future of space travel. I proposed and led my capstone senior design project where we successfully designed, built, and tested an amphibious quadcopter drone, capable of flying and swimming and diving underwater. This project was selected as one of 45 semi-finalists out of 180 projects from all engineering disciplines at the university. The Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering department had 56 projects submitted and only selected 13 for the showcase. I participated in the NASA L'SPACE Mission Concept Academy, a workforce development program, where I learned how to work on a team to build a mission concept into a Preliminary Design Review. I volunteered as an engineering mentor for this academy where I shared my time and experience to help students succeed while supporting and leading my own teams. I am incredibly passionate about the space industry and am excited to utilize my skills and knowledge in a meaningful way in my career while also continuing to be a leader and mentor.
