I have experience in recreation of natural habitats such as wetland restoration and creation, enhancement of existing vegetation and restorative planting, along with associated plant pest control. My work often includes AEE's, biodiversity surveys, detailed managment plans and project management. My background is in large-scale native revegetation nurseries, which was my first stepping stone into the botany world. This has given me invaluable knowledge on native seeds, propagation, growth rates and specific conditions our native plants prefer to grow in. I also spent time working on weed control programs, both in the planning and consenting stages, as well as on the ground doing the hard slog. This practical experience has been useful for creating plans which work in the implementation stages. In my spare time I thoroughly enjoy rummaging around in the undergrowth looking for interesting plants, and traipsing around the countryside enjoying the green vista.
